How much paint do you need?

Buying the right amount saves extra trips and avoids a color mismatch between batches.

How to estimate

1. Add up the length of all walls and multiply by the height
2. Subtract about 21 square feet per door and 15 per window
3. Multiply by the number of coats, usually two
4. Divide by the coverage on the can, often about 350 to 400 square feet per gallon
